Governor Chuibike Amaechi of Rivers State has described the incoming governor, Nyesom Wike, as a "killer".
Amaechi said Rivers people do not need a killer as their governor. He said Wike, who is a lawyer, kills like a rogue.
The governor may have raised questions about his own integrity when he said, on the live broadcast, that he had information about Wike's past criminal records.
Wike, it would be recalled, was Amaechi's chief of staff, campaign coordinator and political associate.

How long can you afford to spend at filling station, I spent 17hrs at Capital Oil
The next time you see somebody who was at the Capital Oil, Omole, Lagos on May 25, ask him how many hours it took him to get a litre of fuel.
I arrived there 5am, meaning two stretched-out queues. I joined the queue basking in the hope that I would live there with a full tank to last me for, at least, a week in few hours.
But behold, I left at 10pm, but fortunately with a tank.

Soldiers invades Capital Oil, load fuel with drums
By Geoff Iyatse
Officers of the Nigerian Army on Monday took over the Ojodu Berger outlet of Capital Oil, buying petroleum products in drums, after scaring away thousands of consumers.
The armed personnel came in the guise of maintaining peace and order, but they soon abandoned their primary responsibility for fuel racket. They shoved, maltreated and sent away those who were on queue to be attended to, thereby gaining access to have their drums loaded with fuel.
As of press time, the unregistered white Isuzu truck they use for the ‘deal’ had visited the filling station for the fourth time.
The fourth truck left 9:05pm.
The vehicle, on each visit, left with at least 14 drums and dozens of gallons filled with fuel.
The helpless consumers, some of who slept at the filling station, suspected the soldiers were feeding the growing Lagos black market with the product.
The military officials who were fully dressed had taken over the only two pumps that dispensed the Premium Motor Spirit.
Those who protested the act were beaten and given scares on their bodies.
Meanwhile, consumers, who had spent the entire Monday at the filling station without getting the product to buy, had described the announcement by Ifeanyi Uba as a publicity stunt.
By 9pm on Monday, not more than a hundred cars left the station with fuel.
Besides the military, officials of the Nigeria Police Force and black market dealers took over the show while thousands of motorists who had crowded the place since 5am were abandoned.

Things things you should know about Chuka Umunna
Wondering who he is?
You are not alone. There are probably millions of Nigerians who do not also know him.
1. He is a Nigerian-British citizen. That sounds obvious right? check out this?
2. He won his first seat to the British Parliament at age 32. That also sounds obvious?
3.He could be on its way to being the first Nigerian-British to emerge the British Prime Minister. The Conservative Party hierarchy thinks this is arrogant. They say he does not know that certain things are bigger than him.
In Israel, his audacity would be called Chutzpah. I agree he is ambitious. But Chuka took the first step he announced his interest to become the first Labour Party leader.
